● FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
If your loved one is struggling with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, meal preparation, or mobility — or if you as a family caregiver are feeling overwhelmed — in-home care is worth exploring. Unlike a Senior Living Community, in-home care allows your loved one to remain in familiar surroundings, which is especially beneficial for those with memory decline. We offer a free in-home assessment to help you understand what level of support makes sense, with no obligation.
All Calvary Caregiving caregivers are our direct employees. That means every caregiver on your team has passed our state-run background check, completed our training program, and is covered under our supervision and accountability standards — giving you far greater protection and peace of mind than hiring independently.
Caregiver compatibility matters deeply to us. If the fit isn’t right for any reason, just let us know and we will work quickly to find someone better suited to your loved one’s personality, preferences, and needs. You are never locked in.
Coverage depends on the type of care and your plan. Medicare typically covers skilled nursing or therapy-based home health services but generally does not cover non-medical personal care. For veterans, many services may be fully covered through VA benefits — and we help families navigate that process. We recommend calling us directly so we can help you understand your options and identify any benefits you may qualify for.
In many cases, we can begin care within 24 to 48 hours of your initial consultation. We understand that care needs can arise suddenly — after a hospital discharge, a health change, or a family caregiver reaching a breaking point — and we treat every inquiry with urgency and compassion.
